HOA Violations

Fine Schedules

A fine schedule defines how much a fine is and how it escalates across stages — for example, $50 for a first offense, then $100 per day if the violation continues uncured.

When you need one

Fine schedules are not required to log a violation — only when you are actually ready to assess a fine on a case.

Building stages

Add one stage per level of enforcement, in the order they would apply. Each stage has an amount, a fine type (one-time, per day, or per week), and an optional maximum accumulated amount — a cap so a recurring fine does not grow indefinitely.

Default schedule

Mark one schedule as the default so it is pre-selected whenever a fine is assessed on a violation. Most HOAs only need a single schedule.
