Autopay for Regular Dues
Homeowners can save their payment method and have future dues charges paid automatically, without needing to visit their payment link every month.
How a homeowner enrolls
The next time they pay a regular dues charge online, they check "Save this payment method and automatically pay future dues charges" before paying. Enrollment only takes effect once that payment actually succeeds — nothing is saved if the payment fails.
Autopay only applies to regular, recurring dues — never special assessments, late fees, or other one-time charges. Those always require the homeowner to actively pay, since auto-charging a large one-off amount without a fresh confirmation isn't something we do.
Once enrolled
A unit already on autopay shows a note on its payment page confirming the upcoming charge will be paid automatically — they don't need to do anything, though they're still welcome to pay manually if they prefer.
If a payment fails
Autopay retries automatically over a few days. If it still can't go through after three attempts, autopay pauses for that unit, the homeowner is emailed immediately with a direct payment link, and your board is notified in a daily digest — never one email per failure.
