Managing Contact Lists

Contact lists help you organize contacts into groups like "Newsletter Subscribers", "VIP Clients", or "Event Attendees". Use lists to target specific audiences when sending GroupPost messages or RSVP invitations.

Your lists overview

Each list row displays:

  • List name — The label you created
  • Contact count — Blue badge if the list has contacts, yellow "Add contacts" badge if empty
  • Actions menu (three dots) — Manage contacts, rename, or delete the list

Click any list row to jump to the My Contacts tab filtered to show only contacts in that list.

Tip: Use descriptive names like "Q1 2026 Webinar Attendees" to help you find the right audience when sending messages.

Creating a new list

Click the Create New List button at the bottom of the tab. You''ll set:

  • Internal name — What you see in the admin interface
  • Display name (optional) — What contacts see when they subscribe via a signup form. If left blank, they see the internal name.

Renaming or deleting lists

Click the three-dot menu on any list row and select:

  • Rename list — Update the internal name and display name
  • Delete list — Permanently remove the list (contacts remain in your account, just not in this list)

List Tools

Click the List tools button in the top-right corner to access three power features:

Compare Lists

Find contacts that exist in one list but not another. Choose List A and List B, then select:

  • In A but not B — Contacts unique to the first list
  • In B but not A — Contacts unique to the second list
  • In both lists — Contacts that appear in both

Useful for finding who subscribed to one newsletter but not another, or identifying overlap between audiences.

Overlap Analysis

Select multiple lists to see how many contacts appear across them. The tool shows:

  • Total unique contacts across all selected lists
  • How many lists each contact belongs to

Helps you understand audience overlap and avoid over-emailing the same people.

Bulk Operations

Move or copy contacts between lists in one action. Choose a source list, a target list, and an operation:

  • Add to — Copies all contacts from the source into the target (contacts remain in both)
  • Move to — Moves all contacts from source to target (contacts are removed from source)
  • Remove from — Removes contacts that exist in both lists from the target only
