Before You Send: Test or Review
After you click Continue in the preview, an optional Before you send step slides in. It offers two separate things: checking the message yourself, or asking someone you work with to review it. You can also skip it.
Send a test
Send a copy to yourself or anyone (up to 5 addresses, separated by commas) to see exactly how it arrives in a real inbox. After a test is sent you stay on the preview, so you can check your inbox and then click Continue again.
Send for review
Working on the message with someone? Enter their email and click Send for review. They get the message by email, exactly as recipients will see it, with three choices:
- Looks good — everything is fine. You get an email, and the message is ready to send.
- Edit it myself — they change anything in a copy. You get an email and go through each change, accepting or rejecting it.
- Leave a comment — they describe what should change. The message returns to your drafts with their comment at the top of the editor.
The reviewer does not need an account, and their review never sends anything — you still send the message yourself. While it is out for review the message is locked, and its summary page shows an Out for review card where you can withdraw it.
Skip for now
Skip for now goes straight on to choosing recipients and sending. Tick Don't ask me again if you never want this step after Continue.
Back to preview
Back to preview at the top slides the step away and returns you to the message.
