How an Election Works
An election runs in four stages: you set it up as a draft, launch it, members vote, and results are tallied when voting closes.
Draft
While an election is a draft, nothing has been sent and everything can be changed. Take as long as you need — the board can save and come back.
Launch
Launching creates one ballot per eligible unit and fixes the list of who can vote. After this point, positions and candidates can no longer be changed, because votes may already reference them.
Voting
Each unit receives an email with a link unique to them. The link can be used once. You can watch turnout on the election page as votes come in.
Close and results
Voting closes automatically at the deadline you set. The board receives a summary by email, and full results become available on the results page.
