Adding Images

You can add images to your message in three ways: upload from your computer, paste from your clipboard, or paste content from another app that contains images. All images are automatically resized and stored on your account.

Upload from your computer

Click the image icon in the toolbar to browse for a file on your computer. Supported formats are JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP. Images are automatically resized to a maximum of 640 pixels wide to keep your email fast to load.

You can also drag image files directly from your desktop or file manager into the editor.

Paste a screenshot

Take a screenshot with your operating system's screenshot tool, then press Ctrl/Cmd + V inside the editor. The image uploads automatically to your account — you don't need to save it to a file first.

Paste from a web page or document

If you copy content from a web page or document that includes images, the images are downloaded and saved to your account automatically. If an image can't be fetched (for example, the source blocks hotlinking), you'll see a notice and can re-add it manually.

Per-message image limit

Each message can contain up to 10 images. This protects the delivery size of your email and keeps it fast to load for recipients.

The image toolbar

Click any image to open the floating toolbar above it. You'll see:

  • Alt — Opens the alt-text editor (described below)
  • Caption — Adds a small caption line under the image. Click again to remove.
  • Size presets — Small (200px), Medium (400px), or Full width
  • Link — Makes the image clickable by adding a URL
  • Delete — Removes the image from your message

Alt text (image descriptions)

Alt text is a short description of your image that screen readers read aloud to blind and low-vision recipients. It also shows in place of the image if it fails to load.

When you click Alt, a dialog opens with two choices:

  • Describe the image — Type a short, specific description. "A group of volunteers planting trees in the park" is better than "image" or "photo."
  • Mark as decorative — If the image is purely visual (a divider line, a flourish) and doesn't convey information, check the decorative box. Screen readers will skip it.
Most images in emails are informative, not decorative. Event photos, product shots, and banners usually deserve a real description.

Captions

Click the Caption button to add a small line of text below the image. Captions are visible to all recipients and can add context the image alone doesn't. Click the button again to remove the caption.

Resize handles

When an image is selected, you'll see small corner handles. Drag any corner to resize freehand while keeping the aspect ratio. For more consistent results, use the Size presets in the toolbar.

Linking an image

Click the link icon in the toolbar to make the image clickable. Enter a URL (such as your website or event page) and click Save. The image becomes a clickable link that opens in a new tab.

Linked images are great for banners and product shots — the image itself becomes the call to action.

Aligning an image

Select the image, then use the alignment buttons in the main editor toolbar to float it left, center it, or float it right. Text will wrap around left- and right-aligned images.

Drag to reorder

You can drag an image by its center to move it to a different position in your message.
