Viewing and Editing Contacts
The My Contacts tab shows every contact in your account with tools to search, filter, edit, and manage them individually.
Filtering contacts
The dropdown in the top-right lets you filter the contact list. Options include:
- Total contacts — Shows all contacts across your account
- Unassigned — Contacts not added to any list yet (appears only if you have unassigned contacts)
- Invalid — Contacts flagged with invalid email addresses (appears only if you have invalid contacts)
- Unsubscribed — Contacts who have unsubscribed (appears only if you have unsubscribed contacts)
- Individual lists — Each list with at least one contact appears as a filter option
Searching contacts
Click the search icon next to the filter dropdown to open a search overlay. Type a name or email address to filter the list in real time. Search works across the currently selected filter — if you have a specific list selected, search only looks within that list.
Page size control
The gear icon next to the search button lets you choose how many contacts appear per page — 10, 20, or 50. Your preference is saved and applies to future visits.
Contact rows
Each contact row displays:
- Name and email address
- Note icon — If you added a note about this contact, hover to see it
- Status badges — For invalid emails or unsubscribed contacts
- Actions menu (three dots) — Edit or delete options
Editing a contact
Click the Edit option in the three-dot menu to open the contact editor. You can:
- Change the email address
- Update the name
- Add or edit a note (up to 255 characters) — useful for tracking context like "met at Q2 conference" or "prefers morning emails"
- Assign or remove the contact from lists by checking or unchecking boxes
- Unsubscribe or re-subscribe the contact
The note field shows a character counter and progress bar as you type. Notes are private — only you and your team can see them.
Unsubscribe states
Unsubscribed contacts display different badges based on how they unsubscribed:
- Unsubscribed (admin) — Red badge. You or a team member unsubscribed them. You can re-subscribe them by clicking the Re-subscribe button in the contact editor.
- Self-unsubscribed — Yellow badge. The contact unsubscribed themselves via an email footer link. You cannot re-subscribe them — they must opt back in on their own.
Deleting invalid contacts
When you filter to show Invalid contacts, a Delete invalid button appears below the list. Click it to permanently remove all invalid contacts from your account in one action. Useful for cleaning up bad imports or outdated data.
Deleting individual contacts
Click the Delete option in any contact's three-dot menu. You'll be asked to confirm before the contact is permanently removed from your account.
