Companion App
The Companion App tab lets you configure a branded mobile app experience for your members. The companion app is a progressive web app (PWA) your members can install directly on their phones from their browser — no app store required.
Enable Companion App
Use the toggle at the top of the tab to enable or disable the companion app for your organization. When enabled, members who visit your app URL on a mobile device will be prompted to install the app on their home screen. When disabled, the app and its branding settings are inactive.
App Name
This is the name displayed under the app icon on your members' home screens after installation. If left blank, your organization name is used. Keep it short — home screen labels truncate on most devices after about 12–15 characters.
App Icon
Choose an icon set that best represents your organization. The selected icon appears on your members' home screens and in push notifications. The icon is displayed against your chosen accent color, so pick a combination that looks good together.
Accent Color
The accent color is the primary color used throughout the companion app — buttons, highlights, and the splash screen background. Use your organization's brand color. You can enter a hex code directly (e.g. #813d9c) or use the color picker. The icon preview updates live as you change the color.
Include App Download Link in Email Footer
When enabled, a small Get the app link is automatically appended to the footer of every outgoing GroupPost email alongside the Unsubscribe link. This makes it easy for members to discover and install the companion app directly from their inbox.

The Update button activates as soon as you change any setting. Click it to save. A success toast confirms the update. Changes to the app name, icon, and accent color take effect immediately for new installs; members who have already installed the app will see icon and color changes on their next app launch once their device refreshes the manifest.
