When Quorum Is Not Met

If fewer units voted than your quorum requires, the election did not produce a valid outcome. Vote counts are still shown as a record of what was cast, but no candidate is marked as having won.

What to do next

Check your CC&Rs or bylaws. Many associations allow the meeting to be adjourned and reconvened, sometimes at a reduced quorum for the second attempt. The specific rule varies, and it is worth reading rather than assuming.

Running a second vote

The results page offers to start a follow-up election, which copies the positions and candidates into a new draft. The original election stays closed and unchanged as a record.

Tip: Low turnout is usually a contact problem before it is an interest problem. Before running a second vote, check the Units page for units with no contact assigned, or with an address that has bounced.
