Using Templates
Templates let you reuse a message's design and content so you don't have to rebuild it from scratch every time. There are two kinds:
- Starter templates — built-in templates available to every account.
- My templates — templates you or a teammate on your account have saved. These are shared across your whole account, so any teammate can use or edit them.
Applying a template
While composing a message, click the Insert template icon in the toolbar. Browse All Templates, Starter Templates, or My Templates, click a template to select it, then click Use Template.
Saving your own template
You save a template from a message you're composing — there's no separate "create template" screen.
- Write your message content the way you want it saved.
- Click the Save as Template icon in the toolbar (next to Insert Template).
- Give it a name (required), and optionally a description and category.
- Click Save Template.
Your message content is saved as it appears at that moment — later edits to the message itself don't change the saved template.
Editing a template
Open My Templates, click the ⋮ menu on a template card, and choose Edit. This updates the name, description, and category only — it does not change the template's saved content.
Updating a template's content
Because content can't be edited in place, use this workaround:
- Apply the template to a new or blank message.
- Make your content changes.
- Save it as a template again with the same name.
- Delete the old version from My Templates to avoid ending up with two similar templates.
Cloning a template
Use Clone (via the ⋮ menu on a template card) to duplicate an existing template as a starting point for a new one — useful when you want a variant without altering the original. The clone is named [Clone] <original name> and can be renamed via Edit.
Deleting a template
Open My Templates, click the ⋮ menu on the template, choose Delete, and confirm. This only removes the template — any messages you already sent or drafted using it are unaffected.
