Assigning Contacts to Units
A unit needs at least one contact before it can receive a ballot. Go to Units, find the contact, and click the pencil icon beside their name. That reveals a dropdown where you can choose their unit — the assignment saves automatically, and the dropdown collapses back to plain text once you're done.
Contacts without a unit
Click the Unassigned filter tab above the unit list to see every contact who hasn't been linked to a unit yet. Working through that tab until it's empty is the fastest way to prepare for an election.
Filtering
The tabs above the unit list let you focus on what needs attention. Each tab only appears when something actually matches it:
- No contact — Units that will not receive a ballot
- Multiple — Units with more than one contact, where you may want to check who is designated primary
- Inactive — Units you have retired
- Unassigned — Contacts not yet linked to any unit
Searching
Use the search box above the unit list to find a contact by name or email. This searches across every unit regardless of which filter tab is active, so it is the fastest way to find someone when you do not know which unit they ended up on.
Results per page
The gear icon next to search lets you choose how many units show per page — 10, 20, or 50. Your choice is remembered the next time you visit.
