Positions and Candidates
A position is a seat being filled — President, Treasurer, Member at Large. Each position holds its own list of candidates, and each unit chooses one candidate per position.
Adding candidates
Candidates can be existing contacts or written in by name. A candidate statement is optional and appears on the ballot beneath their name.
Every position needs a candidate
An election cannot launch while any position has no candidates — an empty position on a ballot confuses voters and serves no purpose. Either add a candidate or remove the position.
After launch
Positions and candidates are locked once the election launches. Removing a candidate at that point would destroy the votes already cast for them, and on a secret ballot those votes cannot be recovered.
