Organization Settings
The Settings section is where you configure how your organization appears in emails, manage your public presence, and set up the companion app for your members. It is organized into tabs: Identity, Social Media, Public Page, Member Directory, and Companion App.
Identity Tab
The Identity tab controls how your organization appears in every email you send — the name, address, footer, and reply settings that go out with every GroupPost message.
Organization Name
This is the display name that appears in the "From" field of your emails and in your email footer. Use your full organization name exactly as you want recipients to see it — for example, "Spiritual Assembly of Austin" rather than an abbreviation.
Organization Address
Enter your full street address or just city and state. This is used to:
- Personalize scheduling — reminders and sends are timed relative to your local timezone
- Populate the address line in your email footer (required by CAN-SPAM)
- Help members find your location
Click Verify after entering your address to geocode it. A green Verified badge confirms the address was recognized. If the suggested address differs from what you typed, a confirmation dialog lets you accept or keep your original.
Message Footer
The footer appears at the bottom of every GroupPost email you send. Use the toolbar to format it with bold, italic, alignment, and links. The footer editor supports:
- B / I — Bold and italic text
- Alignment buttons — Left, center, or right align any line
- Link — Select text and click the link icon to add a hyperlink
- Eraser — Remove all formatting from selected text
If you have social media links configured, a placeholder shows where they will be inserted in emails. Click the placeholder to select it, then use the alignment buttons to position your social icons left, center, or right.
Allow recipients to reply
This setting is enabled by default for all new accounts. When enabled, your account email address is set as the Reply-To on GroupPost messages. Recipients who hit Reply will send directly to your inbox.
Keep in mind:
- Large lists may generate a high volume of replies
- You may also receive bounce notifications and out-of-office auto-replies
- This setting does not apply to RSVP invitations, which use Yes/Maybe/No responses instead
You can turn this off at any time from the Identity tab if you prefer not to receive direct replies.
Saving
The Save button is disabled until you make a change. Once you edit any field it activates. Click Save and a success toast confirms the update.
