Violation Categories

Categories group violations by type (Parking, Landscaping, Trash Cans, etc.) so you can filter the dashboard and spot patterns.

They are for your own use only

Categories never appear on a violation notice — they are purely internal organization, unlike the rule citation, which is what actually gets referenced in a formal notice.

Automatic setup

A standard set of common HOA violation categories is added automatically the first time you visit the Violations tool. You do not need to build this list yourself — just rename, deactivate, or add your own from here.

Reordering

Drag categories using the grip handle to change the order they appear in dropdowns throughout the tool.
